Bing Launches Bots For Local Businesses
In breaking SEO news this week, Bing has announced it is automatically creating interactive bots to help answer questions about restaurants.
For example, if you own a restaurant, a visitor might ask “Do you have outdoor seating?” The bot would automatically use data from Bing Places to formulate an answer and respond. If there’s a question it can’t answer, the bot will refer the user to a phone number.
The bot can also ask business owners additional questions, depending on what information users are seeking. The bot will then use the updated data to improve its responses.
These bots will also soon work with Facebook Messenger and Microsoft’s Cortana AI assistant.
While the bots are currently only available for restaurants, it’s only a matter of time before Bing opens the program up to other types of businesses.
If you own a restaurant and want to get a first-mover advantage with your own Bing Bot, head to the newly launched Business Bot Program. After answering a few simple questions and agreeing to the terms, your bot will be automatically created for you...

New Facebook Live Features To Help You Engage With Your Audience
Facebook have just announced two exciting new features that will help you connect with your audience when broadcasting on Live.
The first feature called ‘Live Chat with Friends’ allows you to create a private chat room when watching a live broadcast. You can then invite your friends to the private chat room, or automatically add friends that are watching the live broadcast. Facebook hopes this will help users have more meaningful discussions on live videos.
The second new feature is called ‘Live With’, which allows you to live broadcast an interview. Your audience gets to see your face, and the face of the person you are interviewing in real time! It’s a bit like a public FaceTime call that anyone can watch.
'Live With' is available now on iOS, so try it out now! Facebook is testing the 'Live Chat With Friends' feature in a handful of countries, with the aim to roll it out later this year.
